Teaching Staff

One of the main functions of the Direction of Evaluation and Accreditation consists of improving and assuring the quality of the teaching staff in the Andalusian Universities.

In this respect, the DEVA is in charge of assessing teaching, research and management activities of teaching staff in Public and Private Universities prior to contracting tenure-track and collaborating lecturers. The procedure is kept opened all year long. Since this function was put in place, the Agency has issued more than 3.200 reports of accreditation for contracting tenure-track and adjunt lectures within Andalusian Universities.

Furthermore, the DEVA has assessed teaching, research and management activities of more than 10.700 teaching staff members in Public Universities to designated additional salary rewards as promoted by the Autonomous Government. Nowadays, the DEVA is working with the Andalusian Universities for the establishment of the DOCENTIA Andalusia Program, a common model of evaluation of the quality of the teaching staff performance.
